What makes working from home with the Ultimate Team so different?
If you’re reading this article then the chances are you are at least doing something right! How do I know that? Well, as a member of the Ultimate Team I learnt what to do in order to get my business noticed on the Internet, and you, by chance or design have learnt how and where to find quality advice on the Internet!
How I wish, that when working from home I was I first learnt about network / MLM Marketing someone could have introduced me to a concept such as the Ultimate Team. Not only would I now be comfortably retired and very wealthy, I would have missed out on a lot of heart-ache and misery.
Now I appreciate that if you’re new to working from home MLM / Network Marketing, you’ll be wondering “What’s he talking about?”. However if you’ve ‘been through the Mill’ – you’ll understand just what I mean because you too would have dreamed about being involved in an Ultimate Team that never eventuated.
So let me explain my comment and perspective. You see I once was interviewed by a top performer in MLM – I’ll call him ”George” for now. I had answered an ad in the local newspaper and was presenting myself for an interview. It was a good experience because I felt I was about to become a member of his team – an Ultimate Team by the sound of things!
His presentation was professional and as an experienced middle-management executive I was impressed. He talked about making money in a BIG way, expansion into the Asian markets and so on. He even invited me to drink some special, herbal tea (one of the MLM products he represented) saying, ”Here, try this – this is what makes our Ultimate Team business so successful”! Naturally, I tried it. It tasted horrible and I said so!
What happened then was he looked me straight in the eyes- from a distance of about 250mm and said, ”You didn’t hear me correctly; this tea taste’s wonderful; this is what makes our Ultimate Team business so successful”! and went on to tell me that I should drink this tea every day and especially whenever I interview someone for a position in the Ultimate Team.
Now I don’t give in to such ‘brow-beating’ but on this occasion- and because I felt I was in the presence of a MLM ‘Guru’ who knew how to ‘walk-the-walk, talk –the-talk and do the business’, I should take notice, listen –up and get involved .That’s what I did.
It cost me over $6,000 to join – most of which was stock and because I couldn’t afford to be out of pocket that much I embarked on a campaign to sell that stock to get my money back asap. I did this in 35 days and was very pleased with myself.But then I was good at sales anyway. Then I realised, in working from home I had joined this one and the Ultimate Team to emulate the ’Guru’. I should be hiring people like he was and duplicating what he does. So I started going to the training.
I learned a shocking truth at my first training, something that eventually was a major cause to me leaving that business. What I learned was after being signed-up by the ‘Guru’ I was placed in the matrix of the downline – without any discussion- below a woman I didn’t know. Even worse, I was so shocked when I met her and found her manner to be so impolite. It was a complete turn-off for me. I disliked so intensely that I always felt uncomfortable in her presence. So much I thought for working from home and being a part of her team.
I never felt comfortable after that and when I remonstrated – trying to get transferred to a position under the ‘Guru’ who I agreed to join the business with my words fell on deaf ears. I was locked into a business that I didn’t like and I wasn’t being very successful.
Team work, I discovered, meant being in the same room as other business members on Tuesdays, Thursday evenings and Saturdays mornings for sales presentations where people I invited would get to learn about my the business opportunity and hopefully be suitably excited by the ‘hype’ enough to sign-up.
This was a business of working leads , telephone calls, making one-to-one presentations, buying at wholesale – selling at retail , driving my car all over town delivering product to people who often wouldn’t front-up with money when they placed their order with me and many of whom hesitated or pleaded poverty when I finally presented them with the products!
Does this Sound familiar?
Certainly , this was not my idea of an Ultimate Team at work so I decided after 9 months and a lot of wasted time and effort to move on.
Now finally, after 15 years and many other experiences with similar results I’ve found what I and others working from home genuinely believe to be our Ultimate Team.
The difference this time is we many members with similar backgrounds, learning paths and experiences. We know the ‘turn-offs’ the pitfalls of MLM/ Network Marketing and how to avoid them. We’re all familiar with Delegating- how to share with others, support, co-opt, train others, give without expecting something in return, work alongside different team-members when required, contribute – even when unsolicited – for the common good of the team. We know there’s no ‘get-rich-quick’ path but there is a work ethic and solidarity that will ensure everyone can be rich working to the same goal.
In thisUltimate Team there’s a motto many of you will be familiar with it goes like this, ”All for one and one for all”. There’s camaraderie – like brothers in arms “no one gets left behind” prevails. This team, unlike others I have experienced is invigorating. I look forward to each day – I concern myself with getting my team tasks done knowing that others are doing the same and all the while, our Ultimate Team ‘s process ensures that “T.E.A.M.” (Together Everyone Achieves More) really works.
