Beware! Most work from home opportunities FAIL !

These days, the Internet appears to be the ideal medium for most people seeking relatively easy and convenient ways to earn a few extra dollars to 'make ends meet' and thereby maintain a free lifestyle. Whilst there's always been interest in work from home opportunties amongst a large portion of internet users, the numbers are increasing as the need to make additional income is growing amongst all sectors of the general public as people are seeking ways to make money.
However, there's a distinct and strong need for caution when selecting a work from home opportunity - as pointed out in this recent study completed by Dr. Richard Andrew Stera - CLICK to see the press release here
The study reports.....

" that a team of expertly trained investigators… posing as regular folks… actually joined, followed through with, and then reviewed 173 different work from home websites and were rated on key performace indicators such as:Return on investment,Money making potential,ease of use and implementation,privacy protection and customer service.

".....81.6% of the websites (141 out of the 173) ranked so low in our evaluation (based on rating criteria) that they were labeled as scams, i.e. absolutely not recommended.

The report goes on to say that "The reality is that the hopes and dreams of honest people trying to make a better life for themselves are being preyed upon and shattered, day-in and day-out. Our latest findings indicate the average person looking for a legitimate work from home opportunity loses an average of $1,785 to scammers’ pockets. And the time wasted, the grief endured, and the lost income you could have made while falling prey to such scams is immeasurable."

Interestingly, the report found that "32 of the 173 websites reviewed (18.4% of them) were researched, tested, and determined to be legitimate, safe, and to deliver on their moneymaking promises!"...which begs the question,"How do you set about choosing a suitable, proven,
work from home opportunty? " It ain't easy!

With the current global economic troubles we’re experiencing at this time being reflected in an ever-weakening dollar and seemingly never-ending price-hikes with gas it’s small wonder that many folks already think we’re already into a recession.The outlook is gloomy on all fronts it seems and that causing an increasing number of people to look for ways to supplement their income through work from home opportunities.

In a quote from another study by Derek Sanderson, Senior Editor, Www.ProConsumerGuides.Org - Tuesday, July 22, 2008, he notes,"Upon completion of our study, all of the shortlisted programs failed to generate any revenue with the exception of two programs. I am revealing this information for a reason. If you haven't thought of choosing to work from home- I strongly suggest that you do so but whatever you do check things out before handing over your money to join!

What to watch out for when choosing a work from home opportuntiy? Well there's many possible answers to that but from my experience I would recommend FOUR key courses of action:

• 1. Avoid jumping into 'get rich quick' schemes - they're too plentiful once you learn how to boot up your computer and go online. You'll be inundated with them and they'll suck up your cash real quick - with nothing in return.
  
• 2. Decide to re-educate yourself. Learn HOW to work from home and build a home based business

Cost of Leads -Working from Home

I thought I'd share a few tid-bits of information about work from home,traffic portals,generating leads and lead generation that I have acquired during the past couple of weeks. This could be of particular interest to anyone starting a home based business.

First, I think it's important to reveal that, as I go about my V*eret*ekk work on what is now a daily basis, I realise more and more how far I have come in the past 12 months. Not only has my knowledge increased substantially since upgrading to the GOLD system my chances of survival working from home and making a decent business online are ten times what they were before I began - and getting better everyday! I have to tell you that this, by itself has brought about a big change in my attitude towards what I do online and how I work from home – especially with respect to leads and lead generation and how I do it.

In addition to this I've joined a team! - It's called "Its Good Business" and through this I've been able to direct my effort more accurately and develop a clear vision of where I want to be going.

Coupled with this I've been able to reflect on the lifetime skills acquired and and mould them into my Internet marketing business. Boy does that make me feel good! Not only is the fog starting to clear but momentum is building - I like that. There's no doubt that since I determined I should become an online trainer also, I have become more aware of what matters to newbies and that enables me to structure the delivery of my sessions a little better. Without exception, people who work from home who attend those sessions leave me saying how much they enjoyed the experience and how much more there is to online marketing than they ever thought! This is especially true in terms of helping them generate leads.

So it is- even for those of us who've been in the community for sometime. Theres' still new things we learn about the amazing system developed by Thomas Prendergast and Mike Darling. Sometimes I think of it as though we are all living on a massive, self-controlled galactic spacecraft - filled with a honeycomb of living spaces where we all work. For the most part we visit only the areas we have to or know of in order to achieve our immediate needs - blasts some ads, submit to Google or even send a Bully Pulpit email out once a week.

Occasionally, when we get to move to a different part of the craft we discovery other interesting aspects and capabilities,meet new people, we marvel and jump for joy at the realisation of being a "super-structure" that can journey anywhere, take on anything and be confident of success - regardless of the 'enemy'.
Joining Its Good Business recently was like this. Another adventure - making the decision to work from home a wise one.
I'd like to go a little more deeply into sharing my thoughts as to why I see things this way it because in this business I buy customers - not leads!

I always thought- when I first joined V*eret*ekk that being able download 30,000 plus leads FR**EE every month was great - for I had plenty of occasions where I spend good money and heaps of time on the telephone talking to so-called 'Fresh-Leads' which proved to be anything BUT that ! I've often reflected that even 1,000 - 2,000 of these FR**EE leads is more effective than any others I have purchased.

So when Mike Darling announced the monetising of FREEFFAS.com I jumped in to the UPGRADE. Why? Well for just $10 per month I could download around 60,000 - 80,000 fresh leads and even get a commission if others came to my site and opted for the same chance! It got even better when I realised I could first 'join up under my self' and receive a commision for doing so! That way I became my own first customer - how good is that?
As if the FreeFFas.co upgrade wasn't enough, I- like hundreds - possibly thousands of others who work from home really started to jump for joy when Mike Darling announced a similar upgrade for Blastomatic.This system,which has for many been seen as the best FR**EE tool in the company's arsenal - not only is the best way to blast ads to 12 Million sites, it now delivers FR**ee leads too! Wow! -it just gets better and better - especially when you can upgrade and receive 5000 +leads per day for just $14.95 per month.

All this sounds great for those who work from home (and it is) but allow me put this a bit more into perspective with TWO instances that that I can relate to and make comparisons.

First of all, through a colleague I learnt about an autorsponder system that had a special 30 days Trial offer for $99.00 and 100,000 leads. Now get this; After 30 Days the monthly charge is $195.00 - number of leads involved - 100,000!!

What I quickly learned was this:
*For the Trial I only had 50,000 leads to play with
* The autoresponder - loaded with a set of generic emails - didn't really suit the products I wanted to promote ! To change the emails would have cost me about two days work!

* The Autoresponder was User – “UN-friendly”! - in fact, after 3 weeks, I still have difficulty in understanding much of it's functions and "Help"text !

* So far as I can see, I have "hooked" only 7 people after 21 days BUT... - I don't know who they are - no information as to which email offer they responded to - I can't single them out for further 'special attention"!

After 2 weeks working with the 50,000 leads, I received additional leads - (125 to be exact). "Well", I thought "I wonder how good these will be"?

I started phoning the leads and within the first 10 calls to people on the list I was told by 2 people that they had never been consulted or ever agreed to particiate insuch a list!

As an incomplete exercise this has reminded me of something I have known for a while which is, when buying leads from anywhere - other than V*eret*ekk; you just don't get anywhere near the same freshness,value and quality. Just consider the results of this little exercise:

100,000 leads @ $99.00 = 10 CENTS per lead (That's TEN times the cost of V*eret*ekk leads Strike - rate has been 7 - but I don't know anymore - they could be "Clicks" for all I know. I certainly haven't noticed a significant jump in my earnings this month!
So thus far these "7 HITS" have cost me $10.60 each and my frustration and "personal downtime" amounts to 7-8 hours. Worst part is - I can't even define these 'hits' as leads!

Now, lets compare that with another new opportunity which costs $49.95 per month :

* So the cost per lead has been - 6 weeks = $74.94 / 1800 (50% bounce-backs) leads = 4 CENTS per lead

* There have been 13 sign-ups - at a cost of $5.76 each

* Of the 13 sign-ups 2 have become Affiliates - so the cost per Affiliate so far is $$37.44

Against this the Income from sales has been $49.95. - a net loss of $24.99. I'm thinking at the moment that if another sale comes in during the remaining 2 weeks, I may at least break even!

Now previously, since at least 50 % of the emails sent bounce back I might have decided to stick with it a little longer as I would have considered the cost per actual lead as 'tolerable', but what have the leads from Ve*re*tekk yielded?

Well so far as I can make out (because these leads get spread over a large number and variety of opportunties) I have spent the following:

* Upgrade on Free FFas.com - Cost $10.00 Less commission on sign-up $5.00 = $5.00

* Number of leads harvested so far - 140,000 so cost per lead is $5.00 / 140,000 = Less than HALF a CENT per lead ! Upgrade on Blastomatic.com Cost $14.95 Less commission on sign-up =$5.00 = $9.95/4 (weeks) =$ 2.48

* Number of leads harvested so far - 60,000 so cost per lead is $2.48 / 60,000 = Less than HALF a CENT each!

Total expenditure FREEFFas and Blastomatic (to date) = $ $2.48 + $5.00 = $7.48 Number of leads processed ....................................= 140,000 + 60,000 = 200,000 KNOWN Income .......................................................= $160.00 profit / Loss ............................................................= $160.00 - $7.48 = $152.52 Profit.

Considering these leads have been measured over less than one month they are BY FAR the BEST Value - when compared to the two other sources and promise an even better yield given time but guess what..? Since joining Its Good Business I don't buy leads anymore - I buy Customers!

You can too!

I can't think of a better way to work from home! After all , these are established customers with a confirmed desire to buy company products regularly, and still get customer service by the company! Sounds too good to be true? Maybe - but Its Good Business

Working from home in the Ultimate Team

The Ultimate team is all about Change

Change always happens and there’s not much you can do about it except learn to adapt to the change. This applies to most situations – be it changing economic environment as is currently effecting much of western society, reviewing your choice of car given the changes in world price of oil or the way you operate your business working from home.

Anyone working from home starting a home based business these days should take note of a subtle change in the way some people working from home are changing their way of doing business which is working in teams! The best example I am familiar being the Ultimate team Team which is the result of one man’s dream and the desire to take MLM / Network Marketing in a totally new direction.

You see, whilst there will continue to be advertising of ‘get rich quick’ schemes and major MLM / Network Marketing companies persevere with their established business models, there’s a new breed developing a New Business Model - especially suited for working from home. It’s being driven by -the Ultimate team. How Different is it? How effective is it? Do consumers really need to think twice before parting with their hard earned money? .

To begin with, someone working from home should consider this. How on earth are they going to compete with Ultimate team ? There’s a number of good reasons for this but most of all is the fact that whilst it’s true that until now, many people in MLM and Network Marketing opportunities have belonged to ‘teams’- in the loose sense of the word, we now see the emergence teams - consisiting of people working from home with a new purpose, new tools, new initiatives and more devastating tactics. This phenomenon we are calling the Ultimate team – and not without good reason!

It’s only natural that MLM / Network Marketing businesses will continue to come and go and each will be dong their utmost to convince prospects that they’re the best at what they do and supply the best products of their type. As anyone who has tried these businesses will know, the difficulty of building networks of distributors through the ‘old’ methods are doomed to failure or slow growth. After all, you can only approach friends and families so many times. How many of you have received the ‘cold shoulder’ been ‘sent to Coventry’ the moment friends and family discover you’ve joined another MLM/ Network Marketing company and ended up with stocks of products that you are unable to sell? Come on… tell the truth!!

After something like 50 years of MLM/ Network Marketing telling us the benefits of their particular models and working from home the majority are failing to reach the goals they believed possible. They are failing because in most instances, few members (or associates as they are most often called) are achieving the riches promised by the compensation plans because they are working their businesses alone not in teams!. Much of this may be to do with the fact that the average network marketer can’t sell – and will never be able to develop the skills to do so either. (It’s widely accepted now that the average MLM’er will only sign-up 2.4 people during their MLM career) Now what is the difference between buying leads or buying customers, leads are sold by many companies. often they are not even interested in what you are selling, the lead is a result of a survey where applicants have a chance to win a prize such as a car, Television etc.

Whilst such business models have until now been considered to be ‘effective’ for the operating companies, they certainly haven’t proved to be so from the Business Associate’s point of view and htere's little to indicate that those working from home have even considered this method before. Unlike the Ultimate team which works as a cohesive, focussed unit, operating and going about it’s business using state–of–the–art online marketing skills and knowledge to exploit the power and synergy of the’ team’, the average MLM’er, working from home, is saddled with having to do everything, buy, sell and distribute everything in order to keep their ‘head above water’. The new business model is entirely different for two major reasons,

1. Ultimate team driven by Delegation of duties / responsibilities.

2. Preference to BUY Customers instead of the need to “Sell” customers

Point 2 mentioned above is an emergent element to this new business model. For, whilst virtually all existing MLM a/ Network Marketing companies foster a need for their affiliates to find other Business Affiliates and together generate, harvest or BUY leads in order to develop a customer base over time, the Ultimate team Buys Customers instead!
This is a profound difference and one which by-passes a difficulty which for most MLM’ers is the single most debilitating aspect of their work from home businesses! Thus, by being able to Buy Customers – instead of leads, they can’t get on with the other aspects of doing business and spending / investing their commission wisely.

Once you understand this aspect of the new business model, you’ll appreciate why the Ultimate team’s approach is so different and vastly superior. But success for the Ultimate team doesn’t just rest there. Another major differentiating factor is the way in which the skills, duties and responsibilities required for the business are Delegated. There’s much less emphasis in Duplication – which is always a distinct requirement for most existing MLM/ Network Marketing business opportunities.

Ultimate Team makes Working from home a joy!

What makes the Ultimate Team so different? Continued…

Despite the fact that my introduction to MLM / Network Marketing was so disappointing, (see previous article), I wasn’t deterred from trying again for my appetite had been wetted and still I believed I might be lucky enough to discover the Ultimate Team one day, somehow, somewhere.

So I turned to the Internet – something that – in 1998 -was quite new to the average “Joe Blow”.

I soon realised how little I knew about computers and the internet but it didn’t stop me from LOOKING! Like so many others since, I was easy fodder for the marketing ‘Gurus’ easily succumbed by their golden words and lavish promises of golden fortunes. All I had to do it seemed was to “Click Here” …and all would be revealed. In my imagination, I would then become a member of the Ultimate Team, journeying along the ‘yellow-brick road’ to fortune untold! I wasted what little money I had and soon was broke – again!

What is it that makes an otherwise normal, level-headed man of 50 years, with wide experience in life and business, suddenly capitulate and give in to such trickery? I wondered. After 10 years of such experiences only now do I feel better qualified to comment.

But subsequently, during several other ‘brushes with the magic words’ I came across two worth mentioning. Each had a message for me.
The first experience was discovering Veretekk at that time in its infancy. It looked very interesting and absorbing. I truly felt that in my mind, this was the Ultimate Team opportunity and the path I should take. But suffering as I was from loss of job, marriage break-up and general despondency I felt it was all beyond. It was easier to ‘let go’! (eight years later I returned to Veretekk, joined and began marketing with a vengeance. I consider it now to be “my other partner”)

The second experience was quite different and served to leave me with a bitter and everlasting experience. The business? It was SFI – Six Figure Income. I t was affordable (I thought) easy to do and gave me the opportunity to build my own Ultimate Team.
I put plenty of effort into SFI (as you do!) and started watching my downline grow. As I recall It was a ‘Tap-root’ system. It flourished and within a couple of months I was already receiving Cheques (or ‘checks’ for my brothers and sisters in the USA / Canada). I felt confident that the grwth of my Ultimate Team was almost ‘viral’ (a new term I had learned from Tom Prendergast of Veretekk) and I was about to have my dreams unfold before me.

So confident was I that I now started to recommend to other businessmen I knew. I was reticent to do this earlier as I live in a small country (only 4 million) of which 1 million are in my city. I had learnt many years ago, not to ‘talk too loud about things you couldn’t be certain of’ – lest they prove to be untrue! In those circumstances (perhaps you have the same experience) when things DO go wrong, I knew the finger would point at me – for I was the one who made the recommendation to join this Ultimate Team.

Then it happened! Just when a respected colleague was also beginning to receive cheques in the mail from our golden –egg, SFI announced that it was “Changing the compensation plan”. I couldn’t believe it! How dare they? My lifeline was taken away. My regular cheques-in-the-mail just stopped –overnight! Everything came to an abrupt end. Once again the Ultimate Team I thought I had was gone! It didn’t tke long to figure that the Big Hitters at the top were getting greedy. Whilst they loved the idea of TEAMWORK which generated millions of ‘slaves’ below them developing THEIR downline, they didn’t like the idea of those people being paid as well as themselves! No, indeed, their idea of the Ultimate Team was clearly quite different and one where only they could prosper most.

Naturally, I have never forgotten this last experience. For I am at heart like most normal people on this planet, trusting of my fellow man – that is until something goes wrong and more so , when I am the one who suffers. For some time after this I was bitter and angry with everything – especially the Internet. So I pursued other options.
Now, if you believe (as I now do)- that

“Something good comes out of everything and something good
is going to happen to me today”

you’ll understand that my disappointment lasted for sometime but, I’m happy to say, I didn’t let it get me down.

You see the good news is, that I returned to Veretekk years later with a commitment to learn how to market online correctly – for that was one positive experience I had online. So Veretekk became ahs become a passion of mine – like so many others. It is a different kind of Ultimate Team wherein people join forces to learn and fend for themselves and I have been able to get a different perspective on what is not and moreover, what Is Good Business!

So it is then, that I have come full circle. After several years in the wilderness, through veretekk and it’s relationship with Its Good Business I have discovered and become a member of the Ultimate Team.

Is this a good thing? Absolutely!

Why called the Ultimate Team? Well here’s what I think about that…

A team – any team , is only as good as the sum of all its parts – its members. Believe me, in the past 35 years I have worked with many teams and have learnt much about the dynamics and attributes of different teams. Not all teams are deserving of the term Ultimate Team. It has to be earned and proven over time.
