In network marketing, look for business models that cut straight through the hype and lies found on the Internet. Such business models offer stability and empower average people with the moderate ability to enjoy success - Frank Heath.

The network marketing industry as a whole is comprised of many different marketing schemes (even scams) that seem to imply that anyone joining their business opportunity will enjoy success simply by following their “join the dots” styled training.Others go so far as to suggest that by jumping on board with ‘the next new pre-launch business, that’s destined to make Internet history on Google’you can become rich without effort.

These claims - in the vast majority of cases - have neither a viable product or real basis to them and least of all a proven business model. Just yesterday I was forwarded a recent You Tube link from Tom Prendergast - CEO of Veretekk. The message it contained was simple "Just Do it"!

I immediately thought "How appropriate!" - for the past few days I've been looking for ways to educate a young boy (12 years old) in why he should now be focussing on what direction he needs to take in life.

These past few days I've come to realize that he needs help with this - for a variety of reasons I won't go into here. The point being, at his age guidance is I feel, important- otherwise the future could be grim.

Since this young man tends to view everything with an negative response, there's some work required.As we all know, children tend to listen more to strangers than their parents or close family.So This gem from Art Williams might be "just the ticket"! Mr Williams sums things up pretty well I think when he advocates "Just Do It!"

Working From Home with Antioxidants and Beneficial Nutrients

I recall when I working from home back in about 1997 when I first heard the word Antioxidant. I remember it well because it was in conjunction with the new arrival of a now-famous Network Marketing company marketing nutritional supplements and it was mentioned in a presentation which embraced multi-minerals, Omega 3 & 6 and of course antioxidants.

When I look back on that time, most people had never heard the term antioxidant let alone understood its significance to health and wellness. We didn't see any mention of them in food or health advertisements of any kind - they were virtually unknown to the general public. I know this because as part of my involvement with that business, we held presentations explaining what antioxidants, multi-minerals were along with other 'nutritional goodness'. Most people hadn't a clue what was being explained - it was new science -then.

Now of course the term is commonplace as any supermarket or dairy will justify - bottled water, cat food, dog food, baby food even skin and face creams are embellished with beneficial nutrients - especially antioxidants.

So what's all the fuss? What's so special about these products?

Well I guess in simple terms they are "Life changing"!

It's evident that antioxidants do much to prevent aging of the human cells when they are digested with food. They are great at mopping up the damage caused by 'free radicals' - or what most people refer to as chemicals, sprays, insecticides, cigarette smoke, industrial fumes the list goes on. The reason being that, at the cellular level, the human cell cannot tolerate large amounts of these harmful substances and damage is inevitable.

The body itself does produce antioxidants as part of its function - but the demands of modern day living are overwhelming making it virtually impossible for the body to fight back.

A popular way of explaining the actual process of damage ocurring within our human cells this way was often achieved by using the comparison of a wood-fire burning in a lounge. Those of you reading this who remember sitting by such a lovely fire will recall what happens when the wood suddenly makes a loud cracking noise followed by hot sparks shooting out onto the carpet !

Most wood contains a measure of water or moisture which, when heated expands to create mini explosions which blast the red embers out of the fireplace and across the room. If the sparks are large enough and hot enough, they burn a small area of the carpet pile before the finally cool down. The damage is done!

The comparison with our cells is that similar damage is caused by the free radicals entering cells very easily as the blood system stream try to nourish them. Without some kind of protection the damage cannot be repaired. Fortunately, antioxidants do afford some protection - provide they're taken in the right amounts and are 'fit for purpose'!

So this, in very simple terms, is why so many health products now contain various types of anitoxidants and it also why we' beginning to look younger, feel better and live longer! In my lifetime it seems antiaging has become a reality and its also why we now see ever-increasing ways of improving our general health and wellness - a good example being the treatment of
Inflammation - which I'm assured is caused by free radicals accumulating in huge numbers very locally (say within a joint for example).

By taking in large amounts of antioxidants into the blood system, the majority of free radicals become nutralized and get passed out of the body with other waste matter; the swelling subsides and the pain diminishes.

I have a personal experience I wish to share with you on this. . .
I well recall a nutritional scientist from USA announcing,

" cellular damage caused by an injury develops is an invitation for fluid (containing free radicals) to accumulate and attack the damaged area;this fluid cause swelling which
in turn causes pain! "

Now I hate dentists and wild horses would not have got me into a dentists clinic except I was thinking of this when , after 3 days of agonizing pain in my mouth caused by a bad ulcer, I suddenly remembered. . .

" Fluid = free radicals = Pain"

I quickly decided to take four times my normal dose of antioxidants - and repeat often ove r the next day or so. The result was amazing. within 24 hours the swelling was disappearing fast, pain was bearable and a further 12 hours later I was back to normal - and Pain Free!

Where do antioxidants come from?

Those who understand the value of rich antioxidants and other beneficial nutrients recognize they come from various plants, fruit and vegetables that form a large part of our diet.
Unfortunately, it's well documented that during the 50 plus years since the end of WW11 our horticultural and farming practices have changes dramatically especially with the introduction of fertilizers, sprays etc. which have become introduced for various reasons.

It's not my intention to go too deep into this matter at this point except to say this has, over the ensuing years, resulted in our crops and fruit becoming seriously diluted of antioxidants.
No longer will "an apple a day" give us what we need to fight back and maintain healthy body. In fact the extent to which nutrients have become depleted in our food chain is staggering and is deserving of deeper comment later in this blog. please feel free to contribute if you have information)

Perhaps this is why we've seen a proliferation of companies introducing new health drinks containing beneficial nutritients and multi-minerals etc. We're supplementing like mad!

There's a good side to this of course and that is the Baby-Boomers are getting older, they want to stay younger and enjoy life forever! I have first-hand experience of this too - I'm one of THEM!

Here again, I have another personal experience to share. As someone who started taking nutritional supplements 12 years ago I see the difference it's made to me every time I look in the mirror, I feel different each time I go for a walk or swim or some other exercise and especially I notice when people learn my real age. I definitely look and feel 10 years younger!

Of course with all this change new business opportunites have developed too and that's where I direct most of my efforts.

New sources of products are cropping up everywhere - due to the intense desire for people to satisfy ths drive for better health and wellness. Readers may recall just a couple of years ago a series of 'wonder juices - laden with 'life-changing characteristics' being discovered in some remote part of the Amazon, tropical island etc. it's good business - and something I can do working from home.!

NO Worries Here!

I'm experiencing one of those situations that most of us dread - Computer Failure!!

yes - even though I invested in a top-of-the-line ASUS computer 2 years ago, I've suffered a motherboard failure just 3 days past the expiry of my warranty! now is that "programmed extinction" or what?

But guess what - this time it doesn't bother me because:

Twitter answers the question "What are you doing?" - just like going to a meeting or a party where you're mixing with business contacts etc. A kind of "Speed-networking" or micro blogging using no more than 140 characters (akin to SMS messaging) online!

What can Twitter do for you?
Twitter is like "PR" - enabling you to keep your ame and Brand 'top of mind'. It's great for direct, brief communication and will get people's attention! It can expand your Network, contacts list etc outside of your own region which in turn may lead to more business.However, as with all business communication, follow a process !

Something occurred to me yesterday when I received an email from a friend re his new online business. he didn't mention Customers!

You see just a couple of weeks ago, when he asked me "What are you doing?" and "how's it all going?” The timing was such I decided to share my latest results.....as you do!

Of course you can guess what I received - an invitation to look at his new home business ! So I did, after all, He’s a much-respected friend and I value his commentary on such things.

Now without going into detail too much it seems to be a new "Gold Coin" program. The core attribute of the business being you buy gold coins and save them. You also recruit / refer others and go about building a home business upon Gold coins - cost per coin? Around $700 presently.

But wait a minute I thought, we're in a recession and its going to get worse - so it could make good sense. Didn't I hear that the price of Gold was going down recently? Of course, it's "bound to go back up"

Then I thought some more,” What about those MLM stats I recall from all the due diligence we always talk about when assessing such opportunities? Didn't I recall a figure something like," The average network marketer recruits 2.4 people in their lifetime of their business"! I did the numbers and I wasn't impressed.

You see my friend has (I think) overlooked a key factor which is central to the success I enjoy in the opportunity which I presented to him. Is this: BUY CUSTOMERS! Plain and simple!

Here's the secret. Can you imagine for one minute your Down line’s Gold coins talking to and referring other Gold Coins? I know that sound silly but think about it. The real power in network marketing comes from the power of referral - not the perceived value of the product.

Who amongst you would not want to have CUSTOMERS who buy and buy again and again?

Will those buying Gold Coins at $700 buy again and again? Sure, some will. However, I also remember some advice I received from a Chinese girlfriend. She said, “When the Chinese want to eat they look for a restaurant where lots of people go. They look for the 'path that others beat their door '- for that means the food must be good and of reasonable price to attract the majority of people".

So what's all this got to do with the price of Fish? Nothing- but most home businesses depend on having traffic, and 'the numbers' to sustain it.

Again I thought, “How much food could the average person BUY for $700 these days?" Answer - quite a bit – but even the price of food is going up at an alarming rate.

Question: " How many Gold coins at $700 each do you think the millions of people who've just lost their job and who’ve been living close to the 'bread line' for years will BUY?" Question:" How about you?" Have you ever lost YOUR job? Have you ever faced a recession before? I'm 66 and consider myself to be lucky that I haven't really seen a recession like the 1930's - but people say we're in for one NOW! So what to do?

Well here are my thoughts.

Ten years ago I lost everything - during a minor recession - it was 1997 - the Korean Monetary crisis. I had 'huge debt to carry and overcome.

What I did was SOME DEEP THINKING!

It went something like this..........

I haven’t got any income or savings and I haven't got this week's rent...
I can't afford to eat like I used to - must cut back....
However, I must maintain my health and fitness so I can compete for work, to earn money, to survive!

What did I do? I lived off my credit card and bought the best nutritional supplements I could buy, recommended them to others so I could earn income. I joined the local swimming pool and walked there every day to swim 1000 metres, refresh myself, relax for a few moments each day and reflect upon my progress. It was very slow - but it worked!

After ten years I paid off my debt by learning to manage debt effectively. So much so, I am now again in debt but this time I am financing a business in which I BUY CUSTOMERS - who BUY PRODUCT – for THEIR health!!

The difference between this business and the earlier one? I am making money and I am doing so in ever-increasing amounts. The company markets to, and finds the customers and acquires them - through a MAP process (Media Acquired Program). I and my Ultimate Team partner with them and buy the customers in the process. The reason I thought I’d ask this question is prompted by my attendance at an investors meeting recently. Although the meeting was targetting a specific commercial property ownership , I found myself comparing that opportunity with the home business venture that I’m involved in.

As we all know the financial systems of the world are currently in such turmoil that radical measures are being sought to avoid a deep depression – similar or worse than that of the 1930’s. As I write this article I’m aware that in the past few days alone, Iceland became bankrupt over night, $700+ Billion is being injected (on top of at least $160 Billion earlier) into the American economy, European and Asian countries are following suit in an effort to ‘stem the flow’.

We’re entering a period where “cash is king”. Yesterday’s market is gone todays market has new values. For instance in the past 2 days I’ve heard that:

• Many Cash Funds in the USA / Canada, having experienced huge losses in recent weeks are now diverting their funds into property.
• Co-incidental with this was the news (on talk-back radio yesterday) from a New Zealand lady whos offspring were working in Australia, discovered that their savings – invested with a government pension scheme, had disappeared – due to current financial crisis.

“So with all this going on around us, which traditional options are performing and which are not? “That’s the question I had in mind as I listened to the presenter.
Now let me be clear, I am not a Financial Advisor – nor will I ever attempt to be one. I have had the experience of “Losing everything I had” at age 56 which disrupted my whole life for ten years – but now I’ve learned a lot since then and more importantly, I’ve made some good decisions that are the foundation to my recovery.

Here’s a few example presented that I thought worth mentioning. If nothing else, they may prompt you to think more deeply about hwat you may or may not do with your investment money.

• Construction materials costs and the NZ $ are increasing – by the week!
• Property is a long term strategy- know what to buy- where to invest

But for me, I need a higher return and a solid business where I can grow my money. A home business for me is the best choice. By working from home I escape many of the huge costs I faced in Real Estate, I work from the comfort of my own home, have contact 24/7 with people world-wide and enjoy the time freedom that I always yearned for in later years. But here’s the crunch – why would I accept returns of 7%, 8%,9%10% etc when, by investing is a unique , home business with an exceptional business model – proven over 8 years – I can achieve much Higher returns along with an ability to compound the growth exponentially?

To cut a long story short, I’ve been doing business on the Internet, in MLM and Network Marketing companies for more than 12 years. I ‘ve learned the hard way what to look for and how to choose a home based business . The business I now operate allows me to do something that no other business- to my knowledge- allows : It allows me to BUY CUSTOMERS ! Just think about that for a minute! Working from home: Did someone mention MLM?

I've had my share of experiences with MLM too - most of which aren't worth talking about but through some of which I learned valuable lessons.

For instance it took me 2 years in my first MLM experience to discover the error of not doing my own 'due diligence'. This, combined with an ignorance of the 'grey area' tactics often employed by many MLM leaders, enabled me to realise can be very costly and virtually imossible to correct the wrong choice can be. I know, it happened to me on two occasions!

Know to that the Internet is crawling with 'spin doctors' and self-proclaimed Internet Marketing 'Gurus' - so beware the 'hype', for its now widely accepted that 95% of MLM/Network marketing companies fail. Even if they don't fail, they often times change the rules then you almost certainly fail anyway!

Even when you do things 'right' things can go wrong!

I did heaps of due diligence on the last company I joined - reckoned by many to the best there is!

Problem was I didn't check-out my upline, never asked questions about my downline position (until it was too late) and took too much for granted. Eventually I left - after more than 10years hard-slog!

However, during the my thirteen years of what I call my 'unsuccessful' MLM experiences, I did learn three key attributes to consider when choosing an MLM business.

First - Find a huge, expanding market or trend and tap into it.

Second - Find a comany with a reputation to lose: one that supplies the market or trend with unique, consumable, products or services.

Third - Find a proven marketing and distribution system to supply the market or trend.

What a blessing it has been then to find Veretekk and Its Good Business. The 'marriage' of Its Good Business with a proven, much respected company, has produced the first online business where you don't have to buy leads - you just buy customers instead.

These days, the Internet appears to be the ideal medium for most people seeking relatively easy and convenient ways to earn a few extra dollars to 'make ends meet' and thereby maintain a free lifestyle. Whilst there's always been interest in work from home opportunties amongst a large portion of internet users, the numbers are increasing as the need to make additional income is growing amongst all sectors of the general public as people are seeking ways to make money.
However, there's a distinct and strong need for caution when selecting a work from home opportunity - as pointed out in this recent study completed by Dr. Richard Andrew Stera - CLICK to see the press release here
The study reports.....

" that a team of expertly trained investigators… posing as regular folks… actually joined, followed through with, and then reviewed 173 different work from home websites and were rated on key performace indicators such as:Return on investment,Money making potential,ease of use and implementation,privacy protection and customer service.

".....81.6% of the websites (141 out of the 173) ranked so low in our evaluation (based on rating criteria) that they were labeled as scams, i.e. absolutely not recommended.

The report goes on to say that "The reality is that the hopes and dreams of honest people trying to make a better life for themselves are being preyed upon and shattered, day-in and day-out. Our latest findings indicate the average person looking for a legitimate work from home opportunity loses an average of $1,785 to scammers’ pockets. And the time wasted, the grief endured, and the lost income you could have made while falling prey to such scams is immeasurable."

Interestingly, the report found that "32 of the 173 websites reviewed (18.4% of them) were researched, tested, and determined to be legitimate, safe, and to deliver on their moneymaking promises!"...which begs the question,"How do you set about choosing a suitable, proven,
work from home opportunty? " It ain't easy!

With the current global economic troubles we’re experiencing at this time being reflected in an ever-weakening dollar and seemingly never-ending price-hikes with gas it’s small wonder that many folks already think we’re already into a recession.The outlook is gloomy on all fronts it seems and that causing an increasing number of people to look for ways to supplement their income through work from home opportunities.

In a quote from another study by Derek Sanderson, Senior Editor, Www.ProConsumerGuides.Org - Tuesday, July 22, 2008, he notes,"Upon completion of our study, all of the shortlisted programs failed to generate any revenue with the exception of two programs. Cost of Leads -Working from Home

I thought I'd share a few tid-bits of information about work from home,traffic portals,generating leads and lead generation that I have acquired during the past couple of weeks. This could be of particular interest to anyone starting a home based business.

First, I think it's important to reveal that, as I go about my V*eret*ekk work on what is now a daily basis, I realise more and more how far I have come in the past 12 months. Not only has my knowledge increased substantially since upgrading to the GOLD system my chances of survival working from home and making a decent business online are ten times what they were before I began - and getting better everyday! I have to tell you that this, by itself has brought about a big change in my attitude towards what I do online and how I work from home – especially with respect to leads and lead generation and how I do it.

In addition to this I've joined a team! - It's called "Its Good Business" and through this I've been able to direct my effort more accurately and develop a clear vision of where I want to be going.

Coupled with this I've been able to reflect on the lifetime skills acquired and and mould them into my Internet marketing business. Boy does that make me feel good! Not only is the fog starting to clear but momentum is building - I like that. There's no doubt that since I determined I should become an online trainer also, I have become more aware of what matters to newbies and that enables me to structure the delivery of my sessions a little better. Without exception, people who work from home who attend those sessions leave me saying how much they enjoyed the experience and how much more there is to online marketing than they ever thought! This is especially true in terms of helping them generate leads.

So it is- even for those of us who've been in the community for sometime. Theres' still new things we learn about the amazing system developed by Thomas Prendergast and Mike Darling. Sometimes I think of it as though we are all living on a massive, self-controlled galactic spacecraft - filled with a honeycomb of living spaces where we all work. For the most part we visit only the areas we have to or know of in order to achieve our immediate needs - blasts some ads, submit to Google or even send a Bully Pulpit email out once a week.

Occasionally, when we get to move to a different part of the craft we discovery other interesting aspects and capabilities,meet new people, we marvel and jump for joy at the realisation of being a "super-structure" that can journey anywhere, take on anything and be confident of success - regardless of the 'enemy'.
Joining Its Good Business recently was like this. Another adventure - making the decision to work from home a wise one.
I'd like to go a little more deeply into sharing my thoughts as to why I see things this way it because in this business I buy customers - not leads!

I always thought- when I first joined V*eret*ekk that being able download 30,000 plus leads FR**EE every month was great - for I had plenty of occasions where I spend good money and heaps of time on the telephone talking to so-called 'Fresh-Leads' which proved to be anything BUT that ! I've often reflected that even 1,000 - 2,000 of these FR**EE leads is more effective than any others I have purchased.

So when Mike Darling announced the monetising of FREEFFAS.com I jumped in to the UPGRADE. Why? Well for just $10 per month I could download around 60,000 - 80,000 fresh leads and even get a commission if others came to my site and opted for the same chance! It got even better when I realised I could first 'join up under my self' and receive a commision for doing so! That way I became my own first customer - how good is that?
As if the FreeFFas.co upgrade wasn't enough, I- like hundreds - possibly thousands of others who work from home really started to jump for joy when Mike Darling announced a similar upgrade for Blastomatic.This system,which has for many been seen as the best FR**EE tool in the company's arsenal - not only is the best way to blast ads to 12 Million sites, it now delivers FR**ee leads too! Wow! -it just gets better and better - especially when you can upgrade and receive 5000 +leads per day for just $14.95 per month.

All this sounds great for those who work from home (and it is) but allow me put this a bit more into perspective with TWO instances that that I can relate to and make comparisons.

First of all, through a colleague I learnt about an autorsponder system that had a special 30 days Trial offer for $99.00 and 100,000 leads. Now get this; After 30 Days the monthly charge is $195.00 - number of leads involved - 100,000!!

What I quickly learned was this:
*For the Trial I only had 50,000 leads to play with
* The autoresponder - loaded with a set of generic emails - didn't really suit the products I wanted to promote ! To change the emails would have cost me about two days work!

* The Autoresponder was User – “UN-friendly”! - in fact, after 3 weeks, I still have difficulty in understanding much of it's functions and "Help"text !

* So far as I can see, I have "hooked" only 7 people after 21 days BUT... - I don't know who they are - no information as to which email offer they responded to - I can't single them out for further 'special attention"!

After 2 weeks working with the 50,000 leads, I received additional leads - (125 to be exact). "Well", I thought "I wonder how good these will be"?

I started phoning the leads and within the first 10 calls to people on the list I was told by 2 people that they had never been consulted or ever agreed to particiate insuch a list!

As an incomplete exercise this has reminded me of something I have known for a while which is, when buying leads from anywhere - other than V*eret*ekk; you just don't get anywhere near the same freshness,value and quality. Just consider the results of this little exercise:

100,000 leads @ $99.00 = 10 CENTS per lead (That's TEN times the cost of V*eret*ekk leads Strike - rate has been 7 - but I don't know anymore - they could be "Clicks" for all I know. I certainly haven't noticed a significant jump in my earnings this month!
So thus far these "7 HITS" have cost me $10.60 each and my frustration and "personal downtime" amounts to 7-8 hours. Worst part is - I can't even define these 'hits' as leads!

Now, lets compare that with another new opportunity which costs $49.95 per month :

* So the cost per lead has been - 6 weeks = $74.94 / 1800 (50% bounce-backs) leads = 4 CENTS per lead

* There have been 13 sign-ups - at a cost of $5.76 each

* Of the 13 sign-ups 2 have become Affiliates - so the cost per Affiliate so far is $$37.44

Against this the Income from sales has been $49.95. - a net loss of $24.99. I'm thinking at the moment that if another sale comes in during the remaining 2 weeks, I may at least break even!

Now previously, since at least 50 % of the emails sent bounce back I might have decided to stick with it a little longer as I would have considered the cost per actual lead as 'tolerable', but what have the leads from Ve*re*tekk yielded?

Well so far as I can make out (because these leads get spread over a large number and variety of opportunties) I have spent the following:

* Upgrade on Free FFas.com - Cost $10.00 Less commission on sign-up $5.00 = $5.00

* Number of leads harvested so far - 140,000 so cost per lead is $5.00 / 140,000 = Less than HALF a CENT per lead ! Upgrade on Blastomatic.com Cost $14.95 Less commission on sign-up =$5.00 = $9.95/4 (weeks) =$ 2.48

* Number of leads harvested so far - 60,000 so cost per lead is $2.48 / 60,000 = Less than HALF a CENT each!

Total expenditure FREEFFas and Blastomatic (to date) = $ $2.48 + $5.00 = $7.48 Number of leads processed ....................................= 140,000 + 60,000 = 200,000 KNOWN Income .......................................................= $160.00 profit / Loss ............................................................= $160.00 - $7.48 = $152.52 Profit.

Considering these leads have been measured over less than one month they are BY FAR the BEST Value - when compared to the two other sources and promise an even better yield given time but guess what..? Since joining Its Good Business I don't buy leads anymore - I buy Customers!

The Ultimate team is all about Change

Change always happens and there’s not much you can do about it except learn to adapt to the change. This applies to most situations – be it changing economic environment as is currently effecting much of western society, reviewing your choice of car given the changes in world price of oil or the way you operate your business working from home.

Anyone working from home starting a home based business these days should take note of a subtle change in the way some people working from home are changing their way of doing business which is working in teams! The best example I am familiar being the Ultimate team Team which is the result of one man’s dream and the desire to take MLM / Network Marketing in a totally new direction.

You see, whilst there will continue to be advertising of ‘get rich quick’ schemes and major MLM / Network Marketing companies persevere with their established business models, there’s a new breed developing a New Business Model - especially suited for working from home. It’s being driven by -the Ultimate team. How Different is it? How effective is it? Do consumers really need to think twice before parting with their hard earned money? .

To begin with, someone working from home should consider this. How on earth are they going to compete with Ultimate team ? There’s a number of good reasons for this but most of all is the fact that whilst it’s true that until now, many people in MLM and Network Marketing opportunities have belonged to ‘teams’- in the loose sense of the word, we now see the emergence teams - consisiting of people working from home with a new purpose, new tools, new initiatives and more devastating tactics. This phenomenon we are calling the Ultimate team – and not without good reason!

It’s only natural that MLM / Network Marketing businesses will continue to come and go and each will be dong their utmost to convince prospects that they’re the best at what they do and supply the best products of their type. As anyone who has tried these businesses will know, the difficulty of building networks of distributors through the ‘old’ methods are doomed to failure or slow growth. After all, you can only approach friends and families so many times. How many of you have received the ‘cold shoulder’ been ‘sent to Coventry’ the moment friends and family discover you’ve joined another MLM/ Network Marketing company and ended up with stocks of products that you are unable to sell? Come on… tell the truth!!

After something like 50 years of MLM/ Network Marketing telling us the benefits of their particular models and working from home the majority are failing to reach the goals they believed possible. They are failing because in most instances, few members (or associates as they are most often called) are achieving the riches promised by the compensation plans because they are working their businesses alone not in teams!. Much of this may be to do with the fact that the average network marketer can’t sell – and will never be able to develop the skills to do so either. (It’s widely accepted now that the average MLM’er will only sign-up 2.4 people during their MLM career) Now what is the difference between buying leads or buying customers, leads are sold by many companies. often they are not even interested in what you are selling, the lead is a result of a survey where applicants have a chance to win a prize such as a car, Television etc.

Whilst such business models have until now been considered to be ‘effective’ for the operating companies, they certainly haven’t proved to be so from the Business Associate’s point of view and htere's little to indicate that those working from home have even considered this method before. Unlike the Ultimate team which works as a cohesive, focussed unit, operating and going about it’s business using state–of–the–art online marketing skills and knowledge to exploit the power and synergy of the’ team’, the average MLM’er, working from home, is saddled with having to do everything, buy, sell and distribute everything in order to keep their ‘head above water’. The new business model is entirely different for two major reasons,

1. Ultimate team driven by Delegation of duties / responsibilities.

2. Preference to BUY Customers instead of the need to “Sell” customers

Point 2 mentioned above is an emergent element to this new business model. For, whilst virtually all existing MLM a/ Network Marketing companies foster a need for their affiliates to find other Business Affiliates and together generate, harvest or BUY leads in order to develop a customer base over time, the Ultimate team Buys Customers instead!
This is a profound difference and one which by-passes a difficulty which for most MLM’ers is the single most debilitating aspect of their work from home businesses! Thus, by being able to Buy Customers – instead of leads, they can’t get on with the other aspects of doing business and spending / investing their commission wisely.

What makes the Ultimate Team so different? Continued…

Despite the fact that my introduction to MLM / Network Marketing was so disappointing, (see previous article), I wasn’t deterred from trying again for my appetite had been wetted and still I believed I might be lucky enough to discover the Ultimate Team one day, somehow, somewhere.

So I turned to the Internet – something that – in 1998 -was quite new to the average “Joe Blow”.

I soon realised how little I knew about computers and the internet but it didn’t stop me from LOOKING! Like so many others since, I was easy fodder for the marketing ‘Gurus’ easily succumbed by their golden words and lavish promises of golden fortunes. All I had to do it seemed was to “Click Here” …and all would be revealed. In my imagination, I would then become a member of the Ultimate Team, journeying along the ‘yellow-brick road’ to fortune untold! I wasted what little money I had and soon was broke – again!

What is it that makes an otherwise normal, level-headed man of 50 years, with wide experience in life and business, suddenly capitulate and give in to such trickery? I wondered. After 10 years of such experiences only now do I feel better qualified to comment.

But subsequently, during several other ‘brushes with the magic words’ I came across two worth mentioning. Each had a message for me.
The first experience was discovering Veretekk at that time in its infancy. It looked very interesting and absorbing. I truly felt that in my mind, this was the Ultimate Team opportunity and the path I should take. But suffering as I was from loss of job, marriage break-up and general despondency I felt it was all beyond. It was easier to ‘let go’! (eight years later I returned to Veretekk, joined and began marketing with a vengeance. I consider it now to be “my other partner”)

The second experience was quite different and served to leave me with a bitter and everlasting experience. The business? It was SFI – Six Figure Income. I t was affordable (I thought) easy to do and gave me the opportunity to build my own Ultimate Team.
I put plenty of effort into SFI (as you do!) and started watching my downline grow. As I recall It was a ‘Tap-root’ system. It flourished and within a couple of months I was already receiving Cheques (or ‘checks’ for my brothers and sisters in the USA / Canada). I felt confident that the grwth of my Ultimate Team was almost ‘viral’ (a new term I had learned from Tom Prendergast of Veretekk) and I was about to have my dreams unfold before me.

So confident was I that I now started to recommend to other businessmen I knew. I was reticent to do this earlier as I live in a small country (only 4 million) of which 1 million are in my city. I had learnt many years ago, not to ‘talk too loud about things you couldn’t be certain of’ – lest they prove to be untrue! In those circumstances (perhaps you have the same experience) when things DO go wrong, I knew the finger would point at me – for I was the one who made the recommendation to join this Ultimate Team.

Then it happened! Just when a respected colleague was also beginning to receive cheques in the mail from our golden –egg, SFI announced that it was “Changing the compensation plan”. I couldn’t believe it! How dare they? My lifeline was taken away. My regular cheques-in-the-mail just stopped –overnight! Everything came to an abrupt end. Once again the Ultimate Team I thought I had was gone! It didn’t tke long to figure that the Big Hitters at the top were getting greedy. Whilst they loved the idea of TEAMWORK which generated millions of ‘slaves’ below them developing THEIR downline, they didn’t like the idea of those people being paid as well as themselves! No, indeed, their idea of the Ultimate Team was clearly quite different and one where only they could prosper most.

Naturally, I have never forgotten this last experience. For I am at heart like most normal people on this planet, trusting of my fellow man – that is until something goes wrong and more so , when I am the one who suffers. For some time after this I was bitter and angry with everything – especially the Internet. So I pursued other options.
Now, if you believe (as I now do)- that

“Something good comes out of everything and something good
is going to happen to me today”

you’ll understand that my disappointment lasted for sometime but, I’m happy to say, I didn’t let it get me down.

You see the good news is, that I returned to Veretekk years later with a commitment to learn how to market online correctly – for that was one positive experience I had online. So Veretekk became ahs become a passion of mine – like so many others. It is a different kind of Ultimate Team wherein people join forces to learn and fend for themselves and I have been able to get a different perspective on what is not and moreover, what Is Good Business!

So it is then, that I have come full circle. After several years in the wilderness, through veretekk and it’s relationship with Its Good Business I have discovered and become a member of the Ultimate Team.

Is this a good thing? Absolutely!

Why called the Ultimate Team? Well here’s what I think about that…

A team – any team , is only as good as the sum of all its parts – its members. Believe me, in the past 35 years I have worked with many teams and have learnt much about the dynamics and attributes of different teams. Not all teams are deserving of the term Ultimate Team. It has to be earned and proven over time. What makes working from home with the Ultimate Team so different?

If you’re reading this article then the chances are you are at least doing something right! How do I know that? Well, as a member of the Ultimate Team I learnt what to do in order to get my business noticed on the Internet, and you, by chance or design have learnt how and where to find quality advice on the Internet!

How I wish, that when working from home I was I first learnt about network / MLM Marketing someone could have introduced me to a concept such as the Ultimate Team. Not only would I now be comfortably retired and very wealthy, I would have missed out on a lot of heart-ache and misery.

Now I appreciate that if you’re new to working from home MLM / Network Marketing, you’ll be wondering “What’s he talking about?”. However if you’ve ‘been through the Mill’ – you’ll understand just what I mean because you too would have dreamed about being involved in an Ultimate Team that never eventuated.

So let me explain my comment and perspective. You see I once was interviewed by a top performer in MLM – I’ll call him ”George” for now. I had answered an ad in the local newspaper and was presenting myself for an interview. It was a good experience because I felt I was about to become a member of his team – an Ultimate Team by the sound of things!

His presentation was professional and as an experienced middle-management executive I was impressed. He talked about making money in a BIG way, expansion into the Asian markets and so on. He even invited me to drink some special, herbal tea (one of the MLM products he represented) saying, ”Here, try this – this is what makes our Ultimate Team business so successful”! Naturally, I tried it. It tasted horrible and I said so!

What happened then was he looked me straight in the eyes- from a distance of about 250mm and said, ”You didn’t hear me correctly; this tea taste’s wonderful; this is what makes our Ultimate Team business so successful”! and went on to tell me that I should drink this tea every day and especially whenever I interview someone for a position in the Ultimate Team.

Now I don’t give in to such ‘brow-beating’ but on this occasion- and because I felt I was in the presence of a MLM ‘Guru’ who knew how to ‘walk-the-walk, talk –the-talk and do the business’, I should take notice, listen –up and get involved .That’s what I did.

It cost me over $6,000 to join – most of which was stock and because I couldn’t afford to be out of pocket that much I embarked on a campaign to sell that stock to get my money back asap. I did this in 35 days and was very pleased with myself.But then I was good at sales anyway. Then I realised, in working from home I had joined this one and the Ultimate Team to emulate the ’Guru’. I should be hiring people like he was and duplicating what he does. So I started going to the training.

I learned a shocking truth at my first training, something that eventually was a major cause to me leaving that business. What I learned was after being signed-up by the ‘Guru’ I was placed in the matrix of the downline – without any discussion- below a woman I didn’t know. Even worse, I was so shocked when I met her and found her manner to be so impolite. It was a complete turn-off for me. I disliked so intensely that I always felt uncomfortable in her presence. So much I thought for working from home and being a part of her team.

I never felt comfortable after that and when I remonstrated – trying to get transferred to a position under the ‘Guru’ who I agreed to join the business with my words fell on deaf ears. I was locked into a business that I didn’t like and I wasn’t being very successful.

Team work, I discovered, meant being in the same room as other business members on Tuesdays, Thursday evenings and Saturdays mornings for sales presentations where people I invited would get to learn about my the business opportunity and hopefully be suitably excited by the ‘hype’ enough to sign-up.

This was a business of working leads , telephone calls, making one-to-one presentations, buying at wholesale – selling at retail , driving my car all over town delivering product to people who often wouldn’t front-up with money when they placed their order with me and many of whom hesitated or pleaded poverty when I finally presented them with the products!

Does this Sound familiar?

Certainly , this was not my idea of an Ultimate Team at work so I decided after 9 months and a lot of wasted time and effort to move on.

Now finally, after 15 years and many other experiences with similar results I’ve found what I and others working from home genuinely believe to be our Ultimate Team.

The difference this time is we many members with similar backgrounds, learning paths and experiences. We know the ‘turn-offs’ the pitfalls of MLM/ Network Marketing and how to avoid them. We’re all familiar with Delegating- how to share with others, support, co-opt, train others, give without expecting something in return, work alongside different team-members when required, contribute – even when unsolicited – for the common good of the team. We know there’s no ‘get-rich-quick’ path but there is a work ethic and solidarity that will ensure everyone can be rich working to the same goal.

In thisUltimate Team there’s a motto many of you will be familiar with it goes like this, ”All for one and one for all”. There’s camaraderie – like brothers in arms “no one gets left behind” prevails. This team, unlike others I have experienced is invigorating. I look forward to each day – I concern myself with getting my team tasks done knowing that others are doing the same and all the while, our Ultimate Team ‘s process ensures that “T.E.A.M.” (Together Everyone Achieves More) really works.

Many have tried to build their Ultimate Team but….

The result in most cases is resounding Failure!

You're in Good Hands Working at Home with USANA

I thought I'd share a few tid-bits of information about working from home, leads, traffic portals and lead generation that I have acquired during the past couple of weeks. This could be of particular interest to anyone starting a home based business. First, I think it's important to reveal that, as I go about my V*eret*ekk work on what is now a daily basis, I realise more and more how far I have come in the past 12 months. Not only has my knowledge increased substantially since upgrading to the GOLD system my chances of survival working from home and making a decent business online are ten times what they were before I began - and getting better everyday! I have to tell you that this by itself has brought about a big change in my attitude towards what I do online – especially with respect to leads and lead generation -and how I do it. I've been able to direct my effort more accurately and develop a clear vision of where I want to be going. coupled with this I've been able to reflect on the lifetime skills acquired and and mould them into my Internet marketing business. Boy does that make me feel good! Not only is the fog starting to clear but momentum is building - I like that. There's no doubt that since I determined I should become a Veretekk trainer, I have become more aware of what matters to newbies and that enables me to structure the delivery of my classes a little better. Without exception, people working from home who attend those classes leave me saying how much they enjoyed the experience and how much more there is to the V*eret*ekk system than they ever thought!This is especially true in terms of helping them generate leads. And so it is- even for those of us who've been in the community for sometime. theres' still new things we learn about this amazing system developed by Thomas Prendergast and Mike Darling. Sometimes I think of it as though we are all living on a massive, self-controlled galactic spacecraft - filled with a honeycomb of living spaces where we all work. For the most part we visit only the areas we have to or know of in order to achieve our immediate needs - blasts some ads, submit to Google or even send a Bully Pulpit email out once a week. But occasionally, when we get to move to a different part of the craft we discovery other interesting aspects and capabilities,meet new people, we marvel and jump for joy at the realisation of being a "super-structure" that can journey anywhere, take on anything and be confident of success - regardless of the 'enemy' Having set this 'background' for this email I'd like to go a little more deeply into sharing my thoughts as to why I see things this way: 1. FREE LEADS FOR LIFE! Did you know for instance that this fabulous source of free leads has now been monetised? (That means we can get paid when others buy!) I always thought- when I first joined V*eret*ekk that being able download 30,000 plus leads FR**EE every month was great - for I had plenty of occasions where I spend good money and heaps of time on the telephone talking to so-called "Fresh-Leads" which proved to be anything BUT that ! I've often reflected that "Even 1,000 - 2,000 of these FR**EE leads is more effective than any others I have purchased. So when Mike Darling announced the monetising of FREEFFAS.com I jumped in to th UPGRADE. Why? Well for just $10 per month I could download around 60,000 - 80,000 fresh leads and even get a commission if others came to my site and opted for the same chance! It got even better when I realised I could first "join up under my self" (at my own GOLD FreeFFas.com" and receive a commision for doing so! So I became my own first customer - how good is that? 2. BLASTOMATIC As if the FreeFFas.co upgrade wasn't enough, I- like hundreds - possibly thousands of others really started to jump for joy when Mike Darling announced a similar upgrade for Blastomatic. Now Blastomatic - which has for many been seen as the best FR**EE tool in the Veretekk arsenal - not only is the best way to Blast your ads to 12 Million sites it now delivers FR**ee leads too! That is $150,000 leads per month or jsut 1 CENT PER LEAD" Can you believe it? I mean IT JUST GETS BETTER AND BETTER! And to top it all, you can (GOLD members only) join-up under yourself and receive your first commission! All this sounds great for anyone working from home - and it is - but allow me put this a bit more into perspective with TWO instances that that I can relate to and make comparisons. FIRST - Through a V*eret*ekk colleague I learnt about an Autorsponder system that had a special 30 days Trial offer for "Just" $99.00 and 100,000 leads. Now get this; * After 30 Days the monthly charge is $195.00 - how many leads involved - 100,000!! #!%^ What I quickly learned was that:
*For the Trial I only had 50,000 leads to play with
* The autoresponder - loaded with a set of generic emails - didn't really suit the products I wanted to promote ! To change the emails would have cost me about two days work!
* The Autoresponder was User – “UN-friendly”! - in fact, after 3 weeks, I still have difficulty in understanding much of it's functions and "Help"text !
* So far as I can see, I have "hooked" only 7 people after 21 days BUT... - I don't know who they are - no information as to which email offer they responded to - I can't single them out for further 'special attention"!
After 2 weeks working with the 50,000 leads, I received additional leads - (125 to be exact). "Well", I thought "I wonder how good THESE will be"? (That's right DON’T hold your breath! I started phoning the leads and within the first 10 calls to people on the list I was told by 2 people that they had never been consulted or ever agreed to particiate insuch a list!
As an incomplete exercise this has reminded me of something I have known for a while - when you buy leads from anywhere - other than V*eret*ekk; you just don't get anywhere-near the same freshness,value and quality. For just consider the results of this little exercise:
100,000 leads @ $99.00 = 10 CENTS per lead (That's TEN times the cost of V*eret*ekk leads Strike - rate has been 7 - but I don't know anymore - they could be "Clicks" for all I know. I certainly haven't noticed a significant jump in my earnings this month!
So thus far these "7 HITS" have cost me $10.60 each and my frustration and "personal downtime" amounts to 7-8 hours. Worst part is - I CAN'T EVEN DEFINE THESE " HITS" AS LEADS!
Now, lets compare that with another 'New" Biz-opp which costs $49.95 per month (again I plan to try for 2-3 months;
* So the cost per lead has been - 6 weeks = $74.94 / 1800 (50% bounce-backs) leads = 4 CENTS per lead
* There have been 13 sign-ups - at a cost of $5.76 each
* Of the 13 sign-ups 2 have become Affiliates - so the cost per Affiliate so far is $$37.44
Against this the Income from sales has been $49.95. - a net loss of $24.99. I'm thinking at the moment that if another sale comes in during the remaining 2 weeks, I may at least "Break-even"!
Given the way THIS program is operating (At least 50 % of the emails sent bounce back) I may stick with it a little longer. as the coast per actual lead is tolerable. Well I think that's enough of that - except for one thing, what have the leads from Ve*re*tekk yielded?
Well so far as I can make out (because these leads get spread over a large number and variety of opportunties) I have spent the following:
Upgrade on Free FFas.com - Cost $10.00 Less commission on sign-up $5.00 = $5.00
* Number of leads harvested so far - 140,000 so cost per lead is $5.00 / 140,000 = Less than HALF a CENT per lead ! Upgrade on Blastomatic.com Cost $14.95 Less commission on sign-up =$5.00 = $9.95/4 (weeks) =$ 2.48 * Number of leads harvested so far - 60,000 so cost per lead is $2.48 / 60,000 = Less than HALF a CENT each!
Total expenditure FREEFFas and Blastomatic (to date) = $ $2.48 + $5.00 = $7.48 Number of leads processed ....................................= 140,000 + 60,000 = 200,000 KNOWN Income .......................................................= $160.00 profit / Loss ............................................................= $160.00 - $7.48 = $152.52 Profit. Considering these leads have been measured over less than one month (less than a week for Blastomatic) they are BY FAR the BEST Value - when compared to the two other sources and promise an even better yield given time.

Work at Home - best increased fuel costs

Yesterday I heard the news which is all too common these days and caused me to reflect on why starting a home based business - so I could work at home- is such a good idea - the price of petrol has just gone up AGAIN!

There's no doubt that as the world changes, populations increase, demands for fossil fuels and, power, water and all the other necessities of life increase the cost of living causing many professional and hourly-paid workers to give serious consideration to work at home. Now, perhaps more than ever before to work at home is becoming a very real choice for the average 'joe' struggling to keep pace with the torrent of increased living costs. Of course, to a large extent it all depends on the "comfort level" experienced.

What I mean by that is if I'm a sales executive enjoying a better-than average salary, operating and having private use of a company car, mobile phone, medical protection plan etc. giving that up to work at home might just be a pipe dream.

However, a feature of modern day business is that 'nothing is for certain anymore' meaning that even so called successful companies can go to the wall - almost overnight. So, comfort levels can change very quickly and each time it does the person directly involved often finds themselves re-thinking their options and to work at homegest plenty of attention.

I know, it's happened to me and I didn't see it coming either!

One day I was riding high in a new sole-charge position going about my business throughout the whole of the country when out of the blue I get a telephone call that changed my life forever. Even then I didn't immediately think about choosing to work at home.I felt confident that I could find another job, after all, "I had skills"! I had always been 'a very employable person' and could see no reason why I wouldn't be as lucky as before.

But often in today's circumstances things change all the time - seruptitiously and often go un-noticed until one day, you look up and suddenly become aware that the change has been terminal. There's no way back.

Now this is a hard fact to swallow at anytime. But nothing strikes home more than Job Loss and in the USA in 2008 there's going to be plenty of it - caused by all kinds of reasons. Oh sure, there'll be a lot of people who'll think as I did.That "something else will come along, another chance, another opportunity. But for many people it will be a profound turning point in their lives. To these people I say, "Think about Noah - he got a message and prepared himself well for what was coming"!

Can work at home be a saviour? The answer to that depends very much on your attitude and your ability to adapt - because being able to adapt become essential! Twenty plus years ago, we could be forgiven for thinking that the computers were not going to rule our lives but increasingly what do we see? Suddenly EVERYTHING seems to be driven by a computer.

When I was a kid in England, I hadn't even heard of a computer unitl I was in my teens.

Fast forward twenty years and I recall a very important message being delivered by the CEO of our company one day. That message came from an entrepreneur, an astute businessman - from whom I learned much in the ensuing 15 years. The message was that "The company was aiming to computerise the management processes wherever possible and as senior staff members we should decide to move with the times or face an uncertain future".

I have never forgot that day. It made a huge impact on me because soon afterwards I went out and purchased a computer "For my kids to play with". But secretly I had taken the message to heart - not for the purpose or intention to work at home but to do my best to stay a head of the game and remain employed!

Premier Leads-the lifeblood for those who work at home

I work at home a lot.The other day I came across a press release which I found interesting.It was interesting because, although it involved someone I've never met, since he was someone who liked to work at home I could identify with his story - at least to some degree.I left this answer

It involved someone whose been around the internet for a long time.Someone who liked working from home and trying to bild a business online. Since around 95% of people seeking to make a living on the Internet FAIL.. this is someone who (in all probability is like you and me) has finally found HIS "Eldorado" - or at last it seems that way.

Now I want to be clear on this...it matters not to me what "biz opp" he's finally chosen. What matters is the feeling of triumph that he feels having overcome years of disappointment working from home. That's something we should all applaud.

Jaguar makes Working from Home different!

I have to admit over the past few years I have progressively become a part-time work from home on-liner–to some extent at least.
